RNGA ENERGY
GROUP, LLC.
Our unique approach offers sustainable long-term renewable natural gas attributes, (RNGA) while at the same time keeping renewable fuel costs in line with U.S. Market conditions for renewable natural gas (RNG.) Our goal at RNGA Energy Group is to reasonably price products that help your local energy services achieve their sustainability and Climate Action Plan goals while also diversifying fuel supplies.
What are RNGAs?
Renewable Natural Gas Attributes (RNGAs) are qualified unbundled, un-retired environmental emissions attributes from the production of qualified landfill gas projects.
Why use RNGAs?
Matching RNG Attributes to natural gas use is a direct and immediate way to address Scope 1 carbon emissions. When integrated with energy efficiency initiatives, electrification, and carbon offset investment, RNG can be a meaningful tool in a company’s comprehensive GHG emissions reduction strategy.
Are RNGAs certified?
Each of our contracted projects has been pre-certified as Qualifying Facilities (QF) under the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Federal Power Act (FPA).
About RNGA's
DIRECT USE PROJECTS
A sector of the landfill methane market that we have identified as having available and unretired Renewable Natural Gas Attributes is called a “Direct Use Project.” These projects are designed to take landfill methane through qualified processing for delivery in a dedicated pipeline to a single end user. The industrial/commercial end user augments his typical natural gas supply for his process with the processed landfill methane supply. The typical purchase of the landfill methane is the same as purchase of natural gas for the industrial client. Typical gas contracts are used in this procedure.
REC's (LFG to Electricity)
Landfill gas to energy projects capture methane gas for electricity and heat, turning a potent greenhouse gas into a beneficial source of renewable energy. One REC is equal to one kWh and can be sold to different markets
RIN'S (Landfill gas to RNG)
RIN's exist in the vehicle fuel market, where landfill gas is converted into compressed natural gas (CNG). One RIN is equal to 11.727 MMBTU's and can be sold to different obligated parties
RNGA (LFG
to RNG)
Involved in the voluntary emissions reductions, RNGAs are attributes from the production of qualified landfill gas projects. One RNGA is equal to one MMBTU that can be sold to different buyers
A LONG TERM AGREEMENT, FOR A LIFETIME OF SUCCESS
We believe the cost savings of RNGA with an already established U.S. program as a basis for contracting of renewable natural gas attributes, coupled with support from industry and The Coalition of Renewable Natural Gas, will be able to offer a cleaner and lower cost alternative RNGA for residential, commercial and industrial customers while providing long term renewable energy solutions and emissions reductions.
